Most party favors end up in a hotel room trash can. A shirt or tote a guest watched printed with your date on it tends to make the trip home. At an Indianapolis wedding or private party, the station doubles as something to do during cocktail hour, and the line becomes part of the night. We ship everything from Fullerton, 1,794 miles away, and the crew arrives the day before, so the setup is finished before your first guest walks in.
For weddings, milestone birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs and family reunions across Central Indiana, we style the station to the room. That might be a Fountain Square loft reception, a Broad Ripple patio party or a ballroom downtown. Guests pick a design, we print it, and it goes home with them.
Why live t-shirt printing works at an Indy celebration
- A favor with a job: a tee, a tote or a cap that gets used long after the weekend.
- Entertainment built in: people gather to watch the pull, and it gives the quieter guests an easy way to mingle.
- Your art, your details: names, the date, a monogram. DTF handles full-color art and embroidery handles the dressier pieces.
- Good with kids: younger guests love watching their own shirt come off the press.
- Caps for guests who skip shirts: a hat bar in Indianapolis lets guests choose a cap and the patch that goes on it.
Space and power for a live printing station at an Indianapolis reception
Plan on about 10×10 ft and two 120V/20A circuits per station. Downtown hotel ballrooms put that on the banquet electrical order, and we'll need the dock time and freight elevator so the crew can build while your florist is still working. Fountain Square and Mass Ave lofts are great rooms, but older buildings often run the DJ, the bar and the wall outlets off one breaker, so send us a photo of the panel. If it won't carry two presses, we set up one press with a live DTF lane next to it. Barn venues out past Carmel and Zionsville usually mean a quiet generator and a tent with weights, and June through August we watch the afternoon storm forecast before we set up outside. A shirt takes about two minutes, so a two-press station runs 100+ an hour and 150 guests get through in roughly 90 minutes on a menu of two or three designs. Fall and winter parties lean toward crewnecks and hoodies. Since the gear travels as freight, date changes go smoothest with two weeks' notice.
